The Universal Drilling Department currently owns and operates over 36 drill rigs including a variety of rig types, allowing us total control of our drilling schedule, and the ability to expedite your drilling projects. Our rigs include a variety of buggy rigs, truck rigs, tripod (portable) rigs, narrow, difficult access drill rigs, and a Geoprobe rig available for special groundwater sampling and sample acquisition assignments. One of our special rigs is a CME-85 mounted on an all-wheel drive truck. The CME-85 drill rig is one of the largest hollow-stem auger rigs operating in the southeastern United States. It is capable of installing recovery wells up to ten inches in diameter for site remediation. Our narrow difficult access rigs are capable of accessing the most difficult sites and can fit through a four (4) feet wide gate. These rigs will go where others cannot!
Drilling is also an important factor in many environmental assessments and/or remediation projects. It may involve installing monitor wells and/or monitoring equipment, drilling through rock or other substrata, or simply drilling borings in soil to extract samples for testing. The Drilling Department of Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. (Universal) is registered in all of the Florida Water Management Districts, and many of our drillers are licensed water well drillers/contractors.
